"The Forgotten Coast"

We spent our day yesterday on the "Forgotten Coast". We dock our boat in Carrabelle, FL. This section of North Florida is called the "Forgotten Coast". It's a really beautiful area and most people don't know or even want to visit this section of Florida. They just don't know what their missing. The locals are OK with it not being a tourist area and so are we. We try our best to spend as much time out on the boat as possible. We boat our boat two years ago, and we are loving every minute of it. It's so much fun to be out on the open ocean. We love it! When we got in the boat and out in the water yesterday, the water was so clam! It was so calm that it was hard to tell where the water ended and the sky began. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I have never seen the water that calm before. The sun just beamed down on us and the reflection from the water and sky was so beautiful. The calmness of the water didn't last long, maybe a hour or so and the thunder heads started to build. We spent the majority of the day out on the boat. I read my book and tanned and my husband fished. He caught some sea catfish, a hammer head shark, and a few black tip sharks. It was a great day! We did see some dolphins out and about yesterday and the invasion of jelly fish was unreal. I have never in my life seen so many jelly fish, there were thousands of them. It was like we were being invaded by the jelly fish. It was pretty wild. Needless to say, I didn't spend much time in the water. lol I was a little nervous about the jelly fish, they will sting the sh!t out of you. lol The closer we got to the beach, there were less jelly fish, but when we got into deeper water, there were thousands of them! Of course, I got in the water, we live in Florida, it was over 100 degrees!

The weekend is over and it's back to work and school. UGH! I hate reality sometimes. Why can't I be independently wealthy and just travel all the time? Or better yet, spend my days on the boat and out on the beach? I can dream right? :-)

Enjoy your labor day.

International Human Resources Management...

My day at work was great! I know, your thinking, work is never great. It is for me. I love my job and I love my career field. I work in Human Resources and have for the past 10 years. Human Resources has always been a great career choice for me, I just love it, have I said that more than once? lol Most people hate their jobs but I'm not one of those people.

I got to class early today so I could pick up my laptop. I was so excited to get my computer back and it's running like a new computer. I can't believe I went over a week with out my computer. It's bad that I'm addicted to having my computer with me all the time.

I'm sitting in class right now. This class is all about International Human Resource Management. I'm very excited about this class!! I know, I should be paying attention to the professor, but I had to post to my blog today. How awful is that?? My professor is really a great teacher, he is from Greece, has a lot of knowledge, and is very animated. I love animated teachers. It helps in passing the time and it makes learning more interesting.

I got home from vacation early Monday morning and will post some pictures when I get time. It should be by this weekend. I can't wait to share my pictures of Niagara Falls!

I really have to get back to paying attention to the professor..........Have a great night!

Vacation

My husband and I are on vacation. I tried to post before we left, but my IBM Think Pad crashed on me. UGH! What a pain in the ass! I have been without a computer for over a week now. I'm hoping by the time I get back to Florida my computer will be fixed. We have been in Niagara Falls, NY and Canada. We are currently in Cleveland, OH. We will be making our way back to Florida on Saturday. Once I get home and get my computer I will post pictures from our vacation.

I hope everyone is having a great week!

WOW! How Time Flies............

I can't believe it's been more than a year since my last post. Over the past year life has just been wonderful. Most of my time has been spent working on my degree and working like a mad woman. I know your probably thinking, how is that so wonderful? Well, since my last post I have gotten a new job. I love my new job and the company I work I for. Making the move to my new company was the right decision. I wasn't so sure in the beginning, but all has worked out and everything is going so well. I am almost finished with my degree, less than a year to go! There is light at the end of the tunnel! I can't wait to see that light up close and personal. I attend school three nights a week for 4 hours. School is so time consuming, but it will pay off in the end.

My husband and I have been married for 3 years now. I can't believe how time has flown. It's amazing how life happens everyday and when it's going great life just passes us by so quickly. In my past life hasn't been so great and it seemed like things would never get better, but lucky for me, I have over come all the opsticals in my past. Now, I am here in the life I always wanted. I know, I sound a little over the top, but what can I say? I'm happy!
I'm going to try my best to keep posting on a regular basis. I miss blogging and my fellow bloggers.

What a weekend!!

I went to see my best friend Tracy this weekend. Everyone, meet Tracy!

She lives three hours west of me. Her and I take turns driving to see each other. This weekend was also her daughters 4th Birthday. I drove over on Saturday morning and drove home on Sunday. We had a wonderful weekend. We spent some time at their cities local Fun Fest. The fun fest had some craft booths and they also had a ton of stuff for kids to play on. They also had fireworks later that night. It was a pretty nice day. Sunday was her daughters B-day party and she went all out! She had Scooby Doo everything! It was really cute. Happy B-day Sara!

I also on Saturday, after months of thinking and researching piercing, got my belly button pierced. Tracy went a long with me, so I wouldn't have to go alone. She gave me some moral support! lol We went to a place called Tattoo Fever that we found on the internet last week. I was SO nervous and completely worked up about it and then when Jason
did the actual piercing it really wasn't that bad. Now, don't get me wrong it did hurt a little bit, but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I expected much more pain than I experienced. Tracy took some pictures of the event, we are scrapbookers, and document everything! lol Jason was a really nice guy and very professional.

Here is my belly button right after the piercing. It hurt pretty much the rest of the day and into the night. Since the first day of the piercing it really hasn't hurt at all. It's been a few days since I got the piercing and I don't regret it. I have to wear this jewelry for four months and then I can change it. I'm excited about searching for new jewelry! I have already found a few websites that sell some really cool body jewelry.

My weekend with my best friend and her family was really GREAT! I can't wait to do it again. I hope all of you had a great weekend as well.

Monday Madness

1. How many cop shows can you name? Only one "Cops" I'm thinking a long the lines of reality TV.

2. Do you send text messages? Yes I do send text messages. I'm guilty! lol

3. If you could be on a gameshow (current or old), which one would you be on and why? Wheel A Fortune, only because it looks easy and I think spinning the wheel would be fun!

4. What are some of your favorite websites? Food Network, QVC, Lucky Brand, Blogger, OMG I could go on all day with my favorite websites. These are just a few that I check out everyday.

5. What are your favorite things about the internet? The ability to communicate with friends and family over the internet. I don't live any where near my family or any of my close friends so having the internet to communicate with them is so great! I love Blogger and being able to interact with others all over the world.

6. What about least favorite? Porn Popups! Or any kind of Popup for that matter.

7. What are some good ways to deal with a pet loss? I have lost several pets in my life and it's hard to deal with. I'm not sure if my way of dealing with the loss of a pet would fit someone else. I think we all grieve in our own ways.
