"The Forgotten Coast"

We spent our day yesterday on the "Forgotten Coast". We dock our boat in Carrabelle, FL. This section of North Florida is called the "Forgotten Coast". It's a really beautiful area and most people don't know or even want to visit this section of Florida. They just don't know what their missing. The locals are OK with it not being a tourist area and so are we. We try our best to spend as much time out on the boat as possible. We boat our boat two years ago, and we are loving every minute of it. It's so much fun to be out on the open ocean. We love it! When we got in the boat and out in the water yesterday, the water was so clam! It was so calm that it was hard to tell where the water ended and the sky began. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I have never seen the water that calm before. The sun just beamed down on us and the reflection from the water and sky was so beautiful. The calmness of the water didn't last long, maybe a hour or so and the thunder heads started to build. We spent the majority of the day out on the boat. I read my book and tanned and my husband fished. He caught some sea catfish, a hammer head shark, and a few black tip sharks. It was a great day! We did see some dolphins out and about yesterday and the invasion of jelly fish was unreal. I have never in my life seen so many jelly fish, there were thousands of them. It was like we were being invaded by the jelly fish. It was pretty wild. Needless to say, I didn't spend much time in the water. lol I was a little nervous about the jelly fish, they will sting the sh!t out of you. lol The closer we got to the beach, there were less jelly fish, but when we got into deeper water, there were thousands of them! Of course, I got in the water, we live in Florida, it was over 100 degrees!

The weekend is over and it's back to work and school. UGH! I hate reality sometimes. Why can't I be independently wealthy and just travel all the time? Or better yet, spend my days on the boat and out on the beach? I can dream right? :-)

Enjoy your labor day.
