What a great weekend

St. George Island







This is were I spent my entire day on Sunday and it was so sweet! Laying on the beach working on the tan. Playing in the ocean water, jumping waves and people watching. I love to people watch and when your at the beach you see all walks of life. You see those that should not be wearing a bikini or those that should not be wearing that speedo! lol It's just fun to be at the beach. I enjoy seeing all the different tattoos on people. I'm thinking about piercing my belly button. I seen a few ladies at the beach the other day that had it done and it was cool. I have had it in the back of mind for a while and I think I'm going to do it.

For me it's so relaxing at the beach, it always takes me to another world and away from anything that resembles reality. This could be good or bad depending on the mood your in. For me it was a GOOD thing!! St. George Island is a wonderful island with beautiful homes and condos. It's worth the hour drive from our house to get there. I could just stay there forever. My husband and I decided the other day we are going to spend a week there this summer. We are going to rent on of the beautiful homes or condo which ever fits the budget and be beach bums for an entire week! I'm excited about that.

We were driving down Ocean street and seen this sign and I have never laughed so hard in all my life. I didn't have my camera in hand, so I made my husband drive back around so I could take a picture of it. If your offend by this photo, don't look! lol I thought it was the funniest thing. You know that some kid or even an adult walked by and tore off the "S" on this sign.

It's finally Friday!!!! TGIF!!

I'm excited today! I get to leave work early today, in just about 15 minutes! I'm so due for this three day weekend. I don't really have any set plans for the weekend. We will just do whatever we feel like doing. I'm just excited to be away from the plant, the mines and school. I thought I would share a picture of me at work. Well, out in our mines. I actually work in the Human Resources Department. On this day I was out visiting the employees that work in our mines. I know what your thinking, I sure look sexy with that hard hat on! I know it's every mans dream, a woman wearing steel toe shoes, safety glasses and a hard hat! It's all good, it's my job! I have a great time at work, but I'm due for a break. 1) Pets - I have many pets, two dogs, two cats and a beta fish. I LOVE my pets. I can't imagine life with out any.
2) Purple - My favorite color!
3) Popcorn - Oh how I love popcorn. Since I got my braces I can't eat it anymore. Sucks for me, right?
4) Pajamas - Who doesn't love to jump in their PJ's the minute they get home from work or school? I admit it, it's the first thing I do when I get home at the end of the day!
5) Pinot Grigio - My favorite Italian wine. Nothing like a class of wine.
6) Photograph - We all have photos of loved ones, friends and family. I love photos and I love to scrapbook those photos. I have one photo that hurts my heart to look at but I will never get rid of it. It's my past, but that experience has made me who I am today.
7) Plaque - I got a plaque a few weeks ago for making the Deans List with a perfect 4.0 GPA! I'm not bragging or anything. ;-)
8) Paris - I was in Europe a few years ago and Paris was one of the places we visited. It was a wonderful city and I so want to go back. I wonder if I will ever get to again? When will I get to go? Maybe I should make this a goal for the future?
9) People - I'm a people person, but I have to say I don't care for stupid people. Although, if there were no stupid people I guess life would be pretty boring.
10) Pizza - Oh Yeah Baby!! I can eat some pizza now. I'm not picky about my pizza either, it's all good!

"A wedding to die for"

I went on a road trip this weekend with my boss and another co-worker. We are planning our Service Awards Banquet for this August and wanted to try something different. We found one of those Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre's that travels for corporate events. Well, we went to see one of their shows this weekend. The company that puts on the show was MURDERS SHE WROTE, INC. The show we watched and participated in was "A wedding to die for". What a great time we had. The show was very interactive and we each had lines in the show. It was a riot. We all laughed and had a great time. We did decide to bring them to our Service Awards Banquet. We have chosen to do "Murder on Budget Cruise Lines". We are going to have a cruise/beach theme to our banquet. It's going to be great! We are all excited. The pictures below I took at the dinner theatre, please keep in mind I had to use my camera phone because I forgot my camera.

We went out dancing after dinner. I just love to dance. We ended up at Storman's Palace Night Club, in Clearwater, FL. It was great fun! We got there around 9:00 PM and didn't leave until 2:00 AM. I could have kept going, but they were closing down the club so we had to leave. Needless to say I was a little hung over on Sunday morning. It seemed like a long drive home yesterday, but I think it was because I was hung over and tired from the night before. I'm still tired and exhausted from my road trip this weekend but it was worth it!

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen places I like to shop! 1. QVC - I shop by phone or internet. I'm addicted to QVC! Believe it or not they have really great quality products. 2. Bed Bath & Beyond - What an AWESOME store! They have everything. I usually go in there to buy kitchen stuff. I love to cook and they have tons of kitchen gadgets! 3. Express - I buy most of my clothes from Express, they have a lot of trendy clothes and they have the best fitting pants. 4. Bath & Body Works - What can I say? I'm a junkie! I love everything in their store! All of it smells so good and feels so great! 5. Rack Room Shoes - or any shoe store for that matter! I can't get enough shoes! 6. Coach - Have you ever been in a Coach store? It's handbag heaven! They have some Fabulous handbags! Just like shoes, I can't get enough handbags! 7. Scrapbook Market - This is my local scrapbook store and it's a hugh store. They have everything a devoted scrapper could ever need. I could spend hours in that store. 8. Michaels - Boy, this store sure is a crafters dream! 9. Old Navy - I will always shop Old Navy. They have great stuff for a reasonable price. It's just an all around great store. 10. Garnet & Gold - This store sells every thing FSU! I'm a FSU fan and this store has everything a devoted FSU Football fan could want. 11. World Market - This store has some great stuff. It has everything from candles to international food. I discovered this store in Cleveland, Ohio. They recently opened one here in our lovely city. So, I was very excited! 12. Pier 1 imports - I love the furniture in Pier 1. They have some really unique stuff. 13. Target - Who doesn't love Target? It's a Wonderful store! Links to other Thursday Thirteens! 1. Wordless Wednesday

Cruising the Open Ocean

My weekend was pretty great. Saturday was a chill at home day, you know those days when you have to get all the chores done that you put off doing all week? Sunday we went out on the boat. One of our new favorite past times. We launch the boat out on the Apalachee Bay, in St. Marks, FL. It's a beautiful area. St. Marks is a National Forest with lots of wild life, including gators! It's a great park. Here are a couple pictures that I took out on the boat. My husband of course did some fishing and caught a few trout. I'm not big on fishing so I laid on the front of the boat to work on my tan. It's really great to just dive in the water when it gets to hot! So much fun! There are a few spots there where you can stand up in like 3 feet of water and go snorkeling, I did that yesterday as well. I found a couple of perfect sand dollars as well as some really cool shells. I just love being out on the ocean.

Monday Madness

1. If I could change ONE thing from this past weekend, it would be that I didn't have to do any chores.

2. One of my favorite recipes includes garlic, I eat a lot of it.

3. If things don't go as originally planned, I tend to wing it and go with the flow.

4. My daily routine is very BUSY!

5. The one television show I will probably miss, since the season is coming to an end, is Greys Anatomy.

6. I have a calendar hanging/sitting on my wall here at the office.

7. I'm really a slacker about changing the calendar when the day/month changes.

Celebration Las Vegas Style!

This is my friend Barbara. Her and I went to Las Vegas last year and we actually won a little bit of money while we were there. As you can see Barbara is pretty happy about winning on some of the slot machines and we celebrated the entire time we were in Vegas. That's about all I can tell you about our trip, because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

I can always dream, right? Please just give me one more minute.........I need another minute.........Ok back to reality. As you can see I'm not really wanting to be at work. I have just been really busy with work and school that I need a break!

I have had no free time to catch up my blogging or surfing the internet. My job keeps getting in the way! Don't you hate that? I'm going to try and catch up with everyone this weekend. Talk to you soon!

Thursday Thirteen

We have exactly 21 days until Hurricane Season starts. Everyone that is effected by hurricanes will be out shopping for all this stuff very soon to prepare for our up coming season, including myself. With that being said, I present you with my Hurricane Supply Kit.

1. Water - at least 1 gallon daily per person for 3 days
2. Food - at least enough for 3 days
- non-perishable packaged or canned food/juices
- food for infants or the elderly
- snack foods
- non-electric can opener
- cooking tools/fuel
- paper plates/plastic utensils
3. Clothing - seasonal/rain gear/sturdy shoes
4. Blankets/Pillows, ect.
5. First Aid Kit/Medicines
-prescription and non-prescription medications
-glasses, dentures, hearing aids, etc.
6. Special Items - for babies and elderly
7. Toiletries - Hygiene items
8. Cash
9. Flashlights/Batteries/Tools/Keys
10. Radio - battery operated and NOAA weather radio
11. Important Documents in a waterproof container
- insurance, medical records, bank account numbers, social security card, ect.
- Document all valuables
12. Vehicle Fuel Tanks Filled
13. Pet Care Items
- proper identification/immunization records
- ample supply of food and water
- a carrier or cage
- medications
- muzzle and leash

My weekend was great, but went by really fast. It went by so fast that it was almost like I didn't have a weekend at all. I just hate it when that happens. Why can't my work week fly by like that? I guess because it's not as much fun.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I did some shopping this weekend, one of my favorite past times. We were planning to go out in the boat yesterday (Sunday) but we had some really bad weather so, we stayed at home and watch movies ALL day! I just love those kind of days when you can be lazy and cuddle up and watch some Netflix movies. I had a nice quite weekend.

Well, it's Monday morning and I'm back to my everyday work and school routine. I'm hoping and praying that this week will be much BETTER than last week. I don't even want to go into how horrible my week was, so we will leave that one alone! I will try and keep a positive attitude and see how it goes.

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things about Kelly 1. I talk to my mom every day on my way to work. My mom calls every morning at 7:30 on the money. If she doesn't call then I know something is wrong 2. I work full time and go to school full time (Oh, I'm on the deans list with a 4.0 GPA) 3. I've been told I have a warped since of humor 4. I love to dance. I love to have fun and dancing is a lot of fun. 5. I love listening to music, I prefer to listen to R&B and Alternative music but I'm open to other music as well 6. I love animals ( I do have four at home) 7. I'm addicted to shoes and handbags (right now I have 40 pairs of shoes and around 20 handbags) I say you can never have to many shoes or handbags! 8. I'm a scrapbooker and have been for 6 or so years 9. I was a nerd in grade school and in high school. Once your labeled in school that label always seems to stick with you. My friends would probably tell you I'm still a nerd! lol 10. I love vintage everything! I love vintage decor, clothes, handbags. A lot of my scrapbooking is considered vintage. If it's vintage I'm loving it! (My new blog is vintage, I love it) 11. I work out 4 nights a week 12. I carry around two cell phones, well one is my Blackberry from work and the other is my personal cell phone. It's a pain in the rear but what can you do? 13. I only have one true friend and the rest are just acquaintances
